Methodology
Completion Mandate
Every game reviewed must be completed or experienced to a degree that allows a comprehensive assessment. No review is published based on early impressions or partial playthroughs unless explicitly labeled as a "First Impressions" piece.
01
CONTEXT CALIBRATION
A game is evaluated against its own ambition, its genre standards, and the technological context of its release window. A small indie title is not held to the same technical benchmark as a AAA production.
02
the score System
Scores are precise decimal values on a 0.0–10.0 scale. A score is a compressed signal, not the review. The written analysis always takes precedence. The score reflects the overall of the experience, not an average of sub-scores.
03
Revision policy
Scores may be revised after major patches that substantially alter a game's quality. All revisions are clearly documented with a date, original score, and reason for change. This also includes “Early Access” titles.
